This manifested itself in a lower degree of trench warfare and the increased importance of cavalry. In 1918/19, the emerging states of Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania established their own national armies to fight against the Bolshevik troops. While Poland could rely on the Polish Legions already established during World War I, the efforts of the Baltic states were severely hampered by German troops and counterrevolutionary White Guards. en en d $Piotr Szlanta, Klaus Richter /Warfare 1914-1918 (East Central Europe) l 2calibre (2.5.0) [http://calibre-ebook.com] i 9International Encyclopedia of the First World War i 1914-1918-Online i First World War i WW1 i /Warfare 1914-1918 (East Central Europe) q ,f205865d-4da8-4b9c-a347-c0f071cc0852 p 4calibre:f205865d-4da8-4b9c-a347-c0f071cc0852 EBOK j !2014-10-08T00:00:00+00:00 t Warfare 1914-1918 (East Central Europe)
